Your data

Delete your data

BarnsBook has no accounts, so deleting your data means clearing it from your device and, if you shared a ranch with a team, asking us to remove the server copy.

Everything stored on your device

Your herd, health, breeding, pasture, feed, equipment and money records, photos and documents are stored on your device. To remove them:

1
Open BarnsBook and go to Settings → Data Sync & Retention.
2
Tap Delete All Data and confirm. This deletes your records from the device and, when iCloud is connected, the app’s iCloud sync files and backups. It can’t be undone.

You can also delete the app, which removes the data stored on the device: long-press the icon and choose Remove App → Delete App on iPhone or iPad, or move it to the Trash on a Mac.

Copies you saved yourself are not removed by either step: backup files you exported or saved to iCloud Drive or Files. Delete those from Files, iCloud Drive or wherever you put them.

If you shared a ranch with a team

Records for a ranch with a team are also stored on BarnsBook’s servers so the team stays in sync. Deleting data on your device does not remove that copy. Email support@barnsbook.app from the address you use for the app, tell us the ranch name, and we will delete it. If you only joined someone else’s ranch, use More → Team → Leave This Ranch; that removes the ranch from your phone. To have your join details removed from the server, email us.

Subscriptions

Deleting your data or the app does not cancel a subscription. Cancel it in your Apple ID subscription settings first.
